35 The 9 th European final of the Sci-Tech Challenge focused on logistics, more specifically how to build a European supply chain taking into account the environmental impact. At the national challenge, student teams had to come up with solutions to make a citys public transport system as environmentally-friendly as possible for the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship. In 2017-2018, more than 4,000 students took part in the Sci-Tech Challenge. In the first year of the partnership, 102 Avanade volunteers supported 1,124 girls across Brazil, Italy, Norway, Spain and Sweden. Avanade launched the Digital Innovation Signature Award within the JA Europe Enterprise Challenge to recognise the young entrepreneurs who were best able to put their digital skills into practice to conceive an innovative business idea or concept.
